21UP Movement: Proven as a Multi-Award-Winning Youth Empowerment Initiative

The 21UP Movement has become widely recognised as a multi-award-winning youth empowerment initiative, making waves in youth development across the UK. Founded by Perry Blake, the organisation’s vision is rooted in supporting and empowering young people through tailored, high-impact programmes.

From Essex to London, 21UP provides a safe space and structured guidance to help individuals facing challenges such as low confidence, difficulty in social environments, or lack of positive role models. The initiative has gone beyond expectations, earning awards and hearts alike.

Honoured with the Unsung Hero Award at the 2022 Pride of Essex Awards

At the 2022 Pride of Essex Awards, 21UP founder Perry Blake was presented with the Unsung Hero Award, recognising his extraordinary commitment to establishing the 21UP Movement. This accolade celebrates the profound impact the organisation has had on young people in Essex and beyond.

Through holistic support, structured mentorship, and youth-driven activities, the 21UP Movement fosters personal growth, emotional resilience, and community belonging. This award not only validates Perry’s dedication but also highlights the broader value of 21UP’s work in shaping stronger, more confident futures.

Special Recognition at the 2023 Brentwood Business Awards

In 2023, the 21UP Movement received a Special Recognition Award under the Best Local Charity category at the Brentwood Business Awards. Although it operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC), the movement’s impact was so notable that the judges added a new award specifically to honour it.

This moment marked a powerful milestone in the Movement’s journey, further validating its role as a vital force for youth support in the community. From Brentwood to outer London boroughs, 21UP continues to lead by example with effective, scalable, and human-centred programmes.

National Acclaim at the 2025 Birmingham Potential Unlocked Awards

The 21UP Movement’s influence reached a national platform at the 2025 Birmingham Potential Unlocked Awards, where Perry Blake was Highly Commended in the Community Service Hero category. Despite primarily operating in the South East, the recognition from the Midlands reflects the movement’s growing reach and credibility.

Perry ensured that 21UP youth could witness and celebrate this achievement by personally organising logistics and sponsorship to bring two full tables of participants to the ceremony. It was a celebration of shared success and proof of the 21UP ethos: uplifting others while climbing higher together.

Special thanks go to David C. Halls, founder of the Potential Unlocked Awards, for acknowledging 21UP’s unwavering commitment to the next generation.

Why the 21UP Movement is Redefining Youth Development

With every award and recognition, the 21UP Movement proves itself not just as a youth organisation, but as a true multi-award-winning youth empowerment initiative. It is a dynamic force rewriting the narrative of youth intervention and empowerment.

The Movement continues to evolve, providing transformative experiences through workshops, creative outlets, mentorship, and personal growth sessions, all while building a strong sense of belonging and purpose for young people in Essex, London, and beyond.

Conclusion

As a multi-award-winning youth empowerment initiative, the 21UP Movement is more than a programme, it’s a lifeline, a voice, and a future for many. Each award reflects the real-world change this initiative brings to the lives of young people. With continued support and recognition, 21UP will go on to inspire even more individuals to realise their full potential.
